When I installed the package there was already a file called "auto", which is not mentioned at all in the directions.

EDIT: IT WORKS NOW:
What worked for me now was enabling "Enable autoreboot feature (Legacy Def.) from KUAL -> Screen Savers and renaming the file "auto" under my Kindle/linkss folder into reboot.
