That comparison doesn't hold up, because an eInk device is not a normal book, it is an electronic device. Most electronic devices utilized for reading now have a light system of some sort, while a normal book has never had (to my knowledge) a built-in reading light.
For individuals (and at this point in the development of eInk devices, I would now safely say for
most people), an eInk device with a front light is mandatory for purchase.
