The database. There is only one. As it sounds like you are a calibre user, get my Kobo Utilities plugin. Automatic database backup is one of the many functions it has. Otherwise it is a file you can copy, or an SQLite database you can backup with SQLite tools.

No. And I know of no tool to do it. You can backup the appropriate table in the database and restore it, but there are enough issues with doing that, that it might not be worth it. A full database backup and then extracting the bits you need later is probably the best way.

Question: Why do you want to do this?

And, the database is ".kobo/KoboReader.sqlite".
