Formatting SVG picture

I generated a SVG file to test using SVGs to format some math formulas (http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php)

Works OK and the 'text' looks nice

I can't figure out how to adjust the size and remove all the space before and after

Changing the width and height from the default 100% to 40% or less seems to adjust the size, but I haven't been able to remove the space before and after

Any ideas?

Thanks
