The Downpour app is fine and does essentially everything the Audible app does.
I like Downpour's rental program and I find more at their sales than I do at Audible's, but that's very much a MMV situation. I think the distinguishing characteristic of each is Audible's much larger library and Downpour's lack of DRM. I patronize both.
