If you're a Londoner, you might well enjoy Peter Grant. I know part of my enjoyment comes from my knowledge of the geography. Of course, it's rather out of date -- while I've visited a couple of short visits in recent years (a week each), my real London time was in 1968 when I was there for 3 1/2 months. (In SW7, as it happens.) Though I suspect I'd have enjoyed Peter's irreverence even if I had now knowledge of London at all.
