I am so happy with our pantry/larder (or however you may call it, we call it a walk-in closet). But then, we have an older house (100-110 years old).

I know you'll find that only in old houses (pre 70s) here (the Netherlands). Modern houses only use wardrobes. That way you have more freedom how you will put your furniture.

Your doors on the first floor (except for Room 4), is there a reason why they won't open towards the wall?
