I didn't make a factory reset. I connected the Kobo to Kobo Desktop to establish the first connection. Kobo Desktop downloaded fw 4.2.8283.

To late to make new tests, the kobo has been returned today and me refunded.
In fact, the low memory (6.5 Go) unextensible was the 2nd reason to release this model.

Hope Kobo will propose a new model with same screen than teh aura one but with SD port and no battery pb.

I have zero battery problem with my new Kobo Aura One. I updated the firmware through wifi.

You came here to get advices but didn't follow them.

It seems your mind was already made.

Kobo has the biggest storage for an ereader. And frankly, I can't understand why someone would feel bad about having "only" 6 000 ebooks on his a device.
