IT companies (MS , Google etc) hire autistic people to do software testing, they are very good at detailed repetitive tasks, and seeing what's software actually does rather than what they think should do.

The perennial problem with proofreading is our ability to self correct - pubic to public being a well known example.

Which led me to wonder, are there any proofreading services that use the special abilities of autistic people - indeed there are, search for 'autistic proofreaders'.
