Reference is made to my post, #313, on this thread.

I stated in that post that the book Sepphoris: Crosscurrents of Culture had been digitized and was available on the Internet Archive.

Today, I learned that that same book is also available directly from the North Carolina Museum of Art History and/or the State Library of North Carolina and/or the State Archives of North Carolina--anyway, one or more public/government agencies of the State of North Carolina. You can find the book at this webpage.

Note that I said "that same book." I know that it was digitized from the exact same copy of the book, but I don't know if the same person or organization was responsible for the digitization. The upshot is, one of the digital versions may be better than the other one. This could be due to the quality of the digitization equipment, care taken by the people doing the digitization, and perhaps a number of other factors. If you want the best possible digital copy, you would want to compare the two. It appears (it may be just my imagination, I dunno) that the copy that I just learned about is of a better quality. BTW--that copy is available only as a PDF.

Both of the copies are going to be highly readable, so there's no problem there. But there are a number of color photographs which may be noticeably better in one copy than another. One particular type of item in which you might appreciate the highest quality copy possible is the color photographs of mosaics found at Sepphoris (I don't know for sure, but those mosaics probably come from a period of time later than Jesus lived; but some of you would appreciate them simply for their aesthetic qualities--they are beautiful).
