Device: Kobo Wifi - N647
Hi there!

I'm very new to this forum - so I'll explain my issue here:
I have received from a friend an old Kobo wifi ereader (N647) that he left for dead... Basically, menu was clear and readable, but everything else was unreadable (headers, ebooks etc)as the font was so pixelated. Apparently the Kobo was running firmware 1.6
Then I plugged it to my Mac and ran the Kobo desktop app (that I already had installed with my Kobo Aura). The app recognized the Kobo and asked for an updated. I ran it, took a while and then finally it sync my purchases and restarted.
A welcomed surprise happened: firmware was updated to 1.9.12, and font was readable everywhere again - only a few books had strange titles (like a series of number). Happy I was!
Then I opened a book that I previously purchased (and was automatically uploaded on the Kobo through the Kobo desktop app) and the drama happened: it displayed the book cover in fullscreen with a little wheel + loading bar that didn't move for like an hour. I finally ended up shutting down the Kobo and it would never boot again
When I know try to boot it the startup screen shows up (saying something like ereading: anytime, anyplace) and after a few seconds the lights flashes blue (or red if plugged in) and nothing happened. I tried the pinehole, pressing home or menu buttons while powering on, fully charged it etc etc, I'm still stuck on this screen. And the Kobo is not recognized anymore by the Mac or PC.

Does this happened to someone (probably) and what would be the solution?
If anyone has a compatible firmware which could be installed (apparently I have to open the device, remove the internal micro sd and load the new files on it, right?) I would be really thankful! It would be to bad to throw the Kobo away as I'm pretty sure it still is in working condition...

Thanks you!
