I just bought one and I love it! While it was not cheap, the Sony DPT-S1 is wonderful to use on a daily basis. I'm a programmer and so I need to take notes, draw little diagrams, and mark off when I've completed my work.
I have found that I can convert task lists and specs from Microsoft Word into PDFs and then put checkboxes next to each item so I can mark off when I've completed something. I can also make little notes in the margins.
I installed the latest firmware and think the Screen Share is a cool feature! I would love to have a whiteboard like function for technical discussions and the screen share will give me that.
How long do these tips last? The one that is in the stylus is black, elastomer, I guess. I also got some of the fiber ones.
I'm saddened that it does not appear as if there will be a DPT-S2. I tried taking notes on a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 but prefer to have something that does not blast light into my eyes.
I bought a little rechargeable LuminoLite so it is easier to read the screen.
All in all, I'm a happy camper.
