No. Back room is open or hubby would get cold or hot. It's his room. He stays in there except when sleeping. I stay in the bedroom on my bed. Cat has to be able to get to her litter box as well which is located in the utility room or cat room as we call it.
Keep in mind when you live on second floor you deal with residual heat from your neighbors down stairs. We have plenty drafts but that's a good thing in the winter. We use very little heat unless hubby gets cold and cranks the one in his room up. I seldom turn on the second one. This place stays warm year round.
