Reason 1.
Before I spend my money on a book, or anything else, I spend some time on research to make sure I don't feel cheated out of my money later.
Reason 2.
Any ebook requires some editing. Some ebooks require hours of editing. So, I definitely make some research before I decide whether I want to read a book or not.
So, for me, not much has changed from pbooks times, except my backup is much lighter now  |
Seems unrelated to me. I probably have around 1000 unread paper books that I have bought to be read. But that does not help when selecting what you want to read the next couple of days. And if you have enough books on your reader you can always choose another book if you do not like the formatting. Personally I will not spend hour of possible reading time to format a book for reading.
