My apologies if this has been asked and answered before - I did go through most of this thread, but I didn't see it. (I may have gone past it though.)

Is it possible, once you have the "sdcard" folder, to simply extract the contents of Sony's own EXE firmware updater, copy the files in the "sdcard" folder over top of existing files in the Sony updater folder structure, re-create the executable archive, and then simply run it as you would the official firmware without having to worry about booting from an SD card? (I haven't yet compared the actual files / folder structure, so the PRSCustomizer may well be so different as to make this impossible.)
