The fact that they are placed fairly high on the reader simply means that it's more convenient (for me at least) to read with the Kepler inverted. A larger (although still small) problem is that the sides curve back behind the front (rather than out and then back like most tablets I've seen), causing the buttons to be recessed, and thus more difficult to firmly press unless held just right. As far as quality goes, they seemed good -- but that's probably a question you need to ask me in a year or two's time.
