We made our own version of a slip-n-slide, although at this point, I can't remember what-the-heck we would have made it from. My dad was always bringing odd things home from work (we had our own "log cabin" made from PVC piping, for example).

I seem to remember you had to be very careful to not have any sticks/twigs or other sharp things under the make-shift slip-n-slide or you'd hurt yourself.
