You likely weren't paying attention to Kobo when their early devices came out to hear the roar of people screaming about the fact that they couldn't read on the device while it was charging on USB
. Well, actually back then you just couldn't read it while charging generally IIRC.
(note that I don't have a horse in this race as I don't use USB to charge and I really don't plug it in for other purposes often enough for it to bother me)
