So install the 'hotfix', it is what contains the code which makes the jb (and a few other things - like MKK, which from the error message you are missing) persistent.

Step #6 - labeled "jailbreak survival code"

It should have been installed as part of the directions you followed, but it will not hurt to re-install the newest one (which that link points to).

You didn't mention WHEN you used the current directions -
They where very recently edited to make it clear that you only skip steps #5 and #6 but are suppose to return to the first thread and complete steps #7 and #8.
