I think I'm not going to sell my old KPW1.
However, if KFX is cracked and reverse engineered at some point, I wouldn't mind converting it into an epub. I'm not hell-bent on archiving anything as original as possible; I just want a good e-book that can be edited by me (if necessary) and will last a year or 60 (possibly through another conversion).
