Blossom is of course correct. I have a Kindle Keyboard and a Paperwhite 1 which I have no intention of parting with.
Even if kfx is reverse engineered and drm removal is possible, I expect it may not happen for some time. A significant period of pain is likely. I doubt Amazon will lose enough sales to make them re-consider, though we can only hope. Personally I will try to buy more elsewhere, but some of my favourite Indies are of course Amazon only.
