I was being very facetious. It would
not be a good idea for a companies to know your email address on the basis of your I.P. address, especially if it is a static one, but even if it was a temporary one!
Every webpage that you visited automatically would have your email address. Then they could sell the information to third parties. I can't imagine all of the havoc that an unethical company could wreak having that information!
