I've been able to recreate the issue by downgrading to 2.2.1 and then upgrading to 3.0.2. If you'd like to follow the status of the issue, feel free to look here. It does seem that trying to reinstall after uninstalling has worked. If it doesn't, try running Calibre as Admin and retrying.
