Add me to the list of the recently sick.

I spent several days up till a day ago with a perpetually runny nose and bouts of explosive sneezing. My SO plied me with allergy pills and Earl Grey tea (which temporarily dries up the sinuses.) The last time I sneezed like that it was an allergic reaction to Bradford Pear pollen, but it's the wrong part of the season for that to be the cause.

Whatever it was wasn't bad enough to produce a real fever or leave me bed-ridden, but did mean things I wanted to get to that required a clear head and concentrated effort didn't happen. I re-read an old book or two in what an old friend called a "comfortable old shoe" mode, and waited it out.

Whatever it was is gone now and I'm back to normal. It was likely a low level cold, leaving me wondering just where I got it, as I haven't been out or social and have only seen my SO on a daily basis. I seldom get colds, so they tend to come as more of a surprise than they might otherwise be.
