So if it turns out your card isn't expired, fingers crossed it was just a hiccup in the system that the admins could correct when they're back in the office.
For what it's worth, I have 3 library cards that I use to access up to 5 different Overdrive library sites. One expires annually, one every two years, and one never has. Not to say they might not change their mind on that last one at some point, but so far, I've never been asked to renew it (and it's the one I've had for a couple of decades at least).

I am hoping you are right, I too use my old library card from my other county because this county has one, single library with almost nothing I would read in it. I had to move several times in 6 years, so I had 4 library cards (still have all) but use just the one because it has I think at least 5 libraries in that county.
I'll call them today if I'm not up and running on the site again. Thank you for your feedback. I would miss having "my library" of choice as I am never without a book to read. Simply can't afford to buy "every" book with reading about 1 a week. Faster if it's super intriguing
