Although I had noted down some of the recommendations folks made for sci-fi/fantasy authors as part of the Open Road freebie extravaganza, I never made it to the sci-fi after the mysteries and non-fiction. However, one of the titles in today's Open Road/Early Bird daily sale is one of the omnibuses mentioned by Little.Egret, The Lyra Novels, by Patricia C. Wrede. It is $3.99 for the rest of the year at the usual US retailers, and it's couponable/VIPable at Kobo US. So I snagged it, and somehow I don't even mind giving Open Road some money!
