You can't always get what you want. Accept and adapt.

I don't know where you guys get off saying this -- it's a programmed aspect of many eReaders (MoonReader, Coolreader) so if, anything, I'd argue the anecdotal evidence points in the other direction. But you don't want it, so no one else must??
In any event, Kobo already gives us 4 choices for tap zones, so they've done the programming. I'm simply saying that they're not particularly well thought out -- especially for the larger Aura One.
The choice that has page forward on the bottom third page is (IMHO) too low for where one grasps the reader -- so I'm always tapping the middle zone and getting the menu.
The other two choices (of possible interest to me) that give you a larger page forward zone on either the right or left margin were adequate on smaller devices, but now I find that it's quite a stretch on the KA1 with my thumb to page forward from the opposite side if that's the single hand I'm holding the device with.
If you compare the back page tap zones in those two Kobo settings with the page back tap zone on a Kindle device, you'll see that the page back zone on Kindle is significantly narrower -- and this is on a smaller device. Reflecting, I suspect, the judgment that most people spend a lot more time paging forward!
And please don't waste my time with a "why don't you just swipe" answer. Obviously I can -- and often do -- it's just not my preference. OK? This is, after all, a feature REQUEST thread.
