Maybe it's required reading for some school courses or something, but I still don't see how there could be that many ratings even from that. People must be buying it for other reasons, too, like because of recommendations from friends and things.
The "island" that the title is talking about is Great Britain. The book is written in humor. It's a must-buy for me, but only when I can catch it as an inexpensive audiobook.
