I am in the process of jailbreaking a KT3 (G000K9) for my son following the first post in this thread. I have copied the initial software to the KT3 and am now charging it before updating it, as somehow the battery got low. I was preparing for further steps by downloading the other files needed to complete the process and found that while the latest firmware linked in that post for the KT3 is 5.8.5 that Amazon shows 5.8.7 as the current firmware.

Is the post out of date? Is there a reason to stay with 5.8.5 instead of the current firmware?
