Awesome find. And, although I am somewhat of a Metallica fan, my library of their songs is practically non-existent.

Given a choice, I'll almost always take a studio version over a live version of a song. But we weren't given a choice (I'm sure that whoever's responsible for the giveaway has chosen live versions for the very reason that they are not as popular as the studio versions. That means less loss of potential income.)

Has anyone ever noticed that the live version, with no change in lyrics, is usually, if not always, longer than the studio version? Does anyone have any idea why? I'm genuinely asking for information here, not baiting you all.
Some bands like Pearl Jam, The Allman Brothers and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band I prefer their live sets over their studio Albums. Pearl Jam tends to toss in a lot of extended album cuts and covers. TAB and ESB let there hair down and stretch out their songs to 20 minute plus epics. I have a bootleg of the ESB in it's prime doing a version of the E Street Shuffle that amply showcases each member of the band talents. It is nearly an hour long.
