This was exactly the function I was seeking. Sad to see it isn't available yet.
I have a very specific reason for wanting this function. Whispernet.
If I email a book to my kindle, it syncs between my phone and kindle. Page location and download is automated.
If I download a book to my kindle, it does not sync. Ergo, I lose the ability to flip between devices.
The simple solution for time being seems to be to download to your mobile device/computer/etc and then email to your kindle. This isn't a horrible compromise as the the kindle cloud reader DOES NOT show personal documents.
