Annoyed with myself that I missed the book club discussion of Atwood's
The Handmaid's Tale. December just got away from me.
On the plus side, my late-2016 reading has been mostly very good. I just finished Petina Gappah's
The Book of Memory, set in Zimbabwe. Very good - highly recommended, although I would have liked some aspects of the story explored a little more.
I recently purchased Peter Robinson's
latest DCI Banks novel. I'm excited to start it but I usually like to read the two or three books preceding new books in the series to remind myself of recent events in the lives of the main characters, so I am (re)reading
Watching the Dark.
