Which e-book reader has the best support for text adventures?

Is there any particular eInk device which is best for playing text adventures/interactive fiction, such as the games Colossal Cave or Zork?

I have searched around quite a bit, but all of the software I found seemed in alpha/beta stages or abandoned, and many newer devices use touch screens, which I think will be not ideal for entering commands. Also, many tools did not list which particular models they are suitable for (e.g. a software homepage says it is for Kindle, without saying which Kindle model I'll need).

I'd prefer a device that: (1) has a physical keyboard; (2) doesn't have problems with screen flickering and waiting to refresh while typing each letter; and (3) allows one to play games from at least one of the popular IF authoring systems, such as Inform, TADS, or Hugo, without crashing.

Is there any device and software that is best suited to playing text adventures?
