This recipe sounds about right. Disguised by the red coloring and lack of seeds, you wouldn't recognize these red rings as pickles. If you like spiced apple rings, you'll like these pickles.

I guess I should point out that I love pickles. Always have. Red pickles, dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, sweet pickles.....even Wickles!
