Well then you don't want to move near me. Our winters aren't bad. We do get cold but our summers would cook you.
Last July, it was between 108 and 111 for nearly 3 straight weeks. When it dropped back to 97, that felt warm but not unbearable.
Oh and the pump on our a/c went out during that time frame. Luckily, it was a $20 fix.
We keep our house at about 72 in the winter and 78 in the summer.
Little tip for keeping a house warm. If you do not have central heat, use a fan to circulate the air. We have a stand fan on top of the file cabinet by the heater to blow the hot air into the rest of the house.
