I used to live in Dillsburg, PA. Where they drop a giant dill pickle on New Years Eve, rather than a traditional ball. Johnny Carson even covered the Dill Drop one year (so I hear; didn't see it).
I heard about this Here in Bethlehem PA we drop a giant Peep (they are made here).
