Liquid antacid might work better than PB for that. At least, what my doctor recommended using liquid antacid, and it has worked very well for me. (store brands work as well as brand names).
I didn't know that I even had acid reflux. I went to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor because I had developed a hoarseness in my voice. Frankly, I was concerned that it might be the big "C" (cancer). He did a diagnostic (which I won't describe because someone out there might be eating a meal and it might make them gag; it's pretty gross) that showed that my vocal cords were burned (my words) from acid reflux. Anyway, I followed his directions about using the liquid antacide, and it works great.
I saw the ebook, and didn't even consider getting it, because the regimen that the ENT put me on works so well. I assume that this diet book would have too much "don't eat this, don't eat that, eat more of this or that (stuff that doesn't taste good)."
Oh, yeah . . . I thank God that it wasn't cancer. But I wouldn't be surprised if letting something like that go on without treatment could cause it. I heard a long time ago that long-term
irritation of an area is the cause of all or most cancers.
