First question: is the CyBook seeing the SD card? Do you see the "SD" logo in the lower right corner of the library screen?
If it is, then you may not be doing the reflash procedure correctly. Boot the machine. As soon as the initial screen appears, press and hold the central button of the navigation control AND KEEP IT PRESSED until the screen flashes white. Release it, and the reflash process should begin. The instructions, last time I looked, said something like "press it for a couple of seconds" - it takes a LOT longer than that.
