Lowell mill girls and/or Shakers?

Having recently read Kate Alcott's novel The Daring Ladies of Lowell and Rachel Urquhart's novel The Visionist, I'd like to read more about the Lowell mill girls and the Shakers, preferably fiction. Long ago I read Call the Darkness Light, by Nancy Zaroulis, but that's the only book I can think of that matches what I'm looking for.

All I'm finding are romances, and that's not what I want. Anyone have any recommendations?
