Interesting. I take it you checked the Settings => Energy Saving and Privacy => Sleepcover => Automatically sleep and wake up checkbox. You might to check to make sure it is still checked.

You might want to try waving a magnet around 2.5cm in from the bottom right hand corner of the screen and see if your KA1 goes to sleep. You might have a defective Hall effect sensor if that doesn't work.
