Yes it fitted in the original GLO and yes I had to cut the connector from the old battery and solder it to the new battery wires. Unfortunately it helped (as the battery was new and of larger capacity) but not solved my unusual battery drain on this kobo. I suspect a bad ibternal sdcard or a firmware regression. I gave up shortly later and bought a koboGloHD, and now a Onyx Boox C67ML.
