We are getting a little bit of topic here...

When a company develops a device it has to decide on it target customers. The main criterion is the size of this group, the bigger the better. Currently all main companies go for cloud storage because it fits the needs of a bigger group, group with an internet access.

Adding extra sd slot takes the precious space inside the device, if this place can be used for e.g. better refresh rate I would happily resign on a sd card slot.

I am not against sd cards. My main point is that you can happily live and use your device without a sd card slot. It is just an extra for vast majority of users, not necessity. So I understand Remarkable (and other companies) decision to resign from it.

That's my last post on this subject. Let's wait for news from Remarkable!
