Alas, I'm in similar straits. I went down to 2.9 this year, from a respectable 3.3 last year. Since my baseline for books is 3.0 and I scale from there, this is a lousy result.
I knew I'd be off this year and I know why I was off and to an extent it couldn't be helped, but it's still disappointing.
