I think that tea came from India. We probably got tea via the British, however. Actually, no doubt about it.

I give up, you win. If this was a PM, I'd like to go all day with this--it would be fun. But I don't want anyone in the open forum to get the idea that I dislike the Brits! They are the best friends that the U.S has in the world, with the possible exception of maybe just two or three other countries (Australia would be one; Canada would be another one).

All in fun. In fact, I just made a post on the Non-Fiction thread of a biography of a famous Brit.
