I had a lot of NCX-love, too. I hoped for the day that the NCX would reign, but...it didn't happen. {small sob}
It's like hoping that the committees will get their heads out of their respective bums (or other folks', for all I know), get
OVER the multimedia infatuation,
and get to work on fundamentals. I could rant all bloody day long, about some of the things that we respectable (and disreputable) eBookmakers have to work around, every bloody day. But...what's the point?
It just gives all of us agita.
