But is there any way I could do it manually? I've been learning a ton about linux now and know what to do and what not to do. I've done some dual booting and triple booting, and so I know about partitions from that.
Couldn't I theoretically flash firmware to the device after opening it up or boot off a "boot" terminal thing inside the kindle itself after wiring something up to it?
Those were just some ideas I had, so I'm not sure if they would work. Anything I could do at this point that would give me some chance, since it's already screwed. I'm not going to use it for reading, I just want to experiment. :P
And one quick question, since I have the US "free" 3G model of the K3, couldn't I theoretically get free data after taking the modules for that out?
Anyways, thanks for your time and help. Worst comes to worst, I'll just get a slightly newer model that can support most of the stuff on here.
