Borrowing ebooks from public libraries without computer

To begin with, I’ve just bought a Kobo Aura ONE and live in a country where OverDrive is not common.

Prior to my buy I had heard that it would be possible to borrow/download ebooks right from the Kobo ereader, without the need of a computer with Adobe digital editions every time. That was in fact one of my most important criterias, that it would be possible to do that. Now, with the reader in my hand, I can’t figure out how to do it. My question is therefore, how is it done, if it is at all possible? If not, is there a possible workaround?

It would be so great if I could borrow/ download ebooks without the need of having a computer with me.
