After update to 4.1.7729, Kobo Aura no longer connects to linux computer or Calibre

I just got my new Kobo Aura yesterday, and was very excited to use it. I plugged it in to my Linux computer, fired up Calibre, and everything was awesome! I was able to sync my book library, and everything was hunky dory.

Later on that night, during Sync, it popped up saying there was a system update. I went ahead and let it sync and update the system. Everything seemed fine.

But, this morning, I went to plug it in, and Linux no longer recognizes the reader. Dmesg shows a connection for a high speed USB device, but nothing else happens. When I plug it in, the device asks me if I want to connect, like usual, and drops in to the "connected" screen, as if everything were working.

I hooked it up to my wife's iMac, and it worked right away. So, something in the software update made it so I can't connect to Linux.

Anyone else have this problem? It's pretty much a dealbreaker for me.
