I once had something like that happen, not with Amazon but another company, which fortunately had good customer service and sent me a replacement. The original package eventually turned up a couple weeks later. The address label on package had everything about my address correct except the state. Apparently somebody had made a typo at the time my order was placed, and it took that long for the shipping company to figure out the correct state.
