Look at the [Tutorial] - QT Apps without nickel. It is a bit out of date, but should give you the general idea. Do not use the drivers posted there, instead use the ones of Sergey's ppchess/coolreader, and use Qt 4.8.6 rather than Qt 4.8.0. I guess, the easiest way to launch Qt applications is with the help of kobolauncher (which is in one bundle with ppchess) or KSM.
